What does “TSA approved” mean?
The term TSA approved applies only to locks and padlocks used to secure luggage. It ensures that TSA officers can open and re-lock your bag with a master key during inspection, without damaging your lock or luggage.
👉 There is no TSA certification for bike bags or bike cases themselves — only the locks can be TSA approved. To travel with peace of mind, simply use one or more TSA-approved locks on your bike bag or case.
My bike made it in great shape to Mozambique from the US. Three flights/transfers, plus shuttles and hotel storage in Johannesburg. And Bud's bag still looks close to new! My bike in the bag was still just under 20 kg.
Used it for two Ironman races abroad. Packing is intuitive, the velcro straps hold the bike firmly, and nothing moved inside. The front wheel pocket is well padded. Exactly what I needed.

Great design and solid protection
I loved this bag when it showed up. It's made to pack fast and makes you think secure, especially since it came with additional protection accessories as well as the full frame pad I bought. However some things make this a very impractical bike bag. Despite my carbon frame bike, this bike without wheels is extremely large and cumbersome and by extension it's weight is unstable to carry around with just the small handles, and that also means the Airline/TSA staff are not going to give it much love. I ended up with a cracked fork on my second travel (4th flight). Glad my fork was covered by the manufacturer crash warranty, but it's a painful long process to go through. Unfortunately, I am abandoning these soft cases for a hard case from Trico for my next travel. I wanted to love this so bad, and for the money, these are great bags, except, I think soft bags in general are a bad idea.

I did my first long flight with this bag. I also have the maxi frame protect and the bike got to destination in great shape. I wish the maxi pad came with a bag so I could Velcro the two storage bags together.
Just tried out the Roadbed Travel with the fork and frame protectors. Easily loaded my road bike. I did remove the handle bars and attach them to the frame protector with the included straps for extra safety but that is a choice. Easy to carry and re-assembled bike in less than 10 minutes
