RMTBAG TRAVEL

Can we stressful. Just returned from a three week trip Sea > Lisbon, LIS > Toulouse, Toulouse > Sea (with layovers in Paris and London on way home) and wanted to share experience using a BUDS RMTBAG Pro that was purchased a few weeks before the trip to replace a 20+ year old hard case.

When it was all said and done, my bike (a Lauf Seigla gravel bike) traveled there and back in one piece. So, the case did it's job :)

The RMTBAG Pro is big. This is the one where you can leave the rear wheel on. Having used an old case where both wheels need to come off, I can say being able to leave the rear wheel on makes packing a breeze, really. The tradeoff is you're dragging around a large case (which means you need a decent size car to carry it in). There's a pocket for the front wheel, take off the handlebars & pedals it literally fits right in. (Worth noting this case is big enough for a MTB so there was plenty of space for a L gravel bike.)

I did take the rear der off too. While there certainly is some padding on these cases, it's still a soft case and doesn't offer nearly as much padding as a hard case. As a result, I threw an extra 3in foam pad as extra protection. There's no question I will do this every time if flying. (Speaking of hard cases ... because this isn't one, the airline will make you sign a waiver stating such - basically they are not responsible if the bike gets crushed.)

As for longevity of the case, we'll see. Quality seems decent. There are some marks from this single trip but to be fair, it went thru a lot of hands/planes/cars. The wheels rolled well. For now, can certainly recommend.

I was really impressed with the BUDS RMTBag PRO. Packing my bike took just minutes! All I had to do was remove the front tire and handlebars, attach the protective pads, secure everything into the bag, and I was ready to go. On the return trip, I even left the pedals on with no issues. I flew to Whistler on United, and the bag made it through check-in and baggage handling with zero problems. Reassembling the bike was just as fast—within minutes I had the handlebars and front tire back on and was ready to hit the trails. Additionally, the wheels on this model made it really easy to move around the airport. Highly recommend this bag for anyone who wants a hassle-free travel experience with their bike!

I did my first long flight with this bag. I also have the maxi frame protect and the bike got to destination in great shape. I wish the maxi pad came with a bag so I could Velcro the two storage bags together.

This bag worked flawlessly for my XL 29er mountain bike on my recent trip from Nashville to Denver. Great protection. Great value. No issues!!

Haven't used it yet, but my Lauf Large gravel bike barely fits. I will update when I use it in September

I am very satisfied with the bag and all of the protective accessories. I look forward to traveling to the East Coast with my bike in a few weeks.

Originally bought the bag to transport my BMX Cruiser bike (24" XL) after being tired of taking the bike apart to tightly fit it into a golf bag.
This new bag allows me to fit the complete bike, with minimal disassembly which includes both wheels on, and only having to remove the handle bar. It has additional room to fit a second bike when you remove the pedals. The bags is well made, with good padding, handles and rollers. Very happy with the quality of the product, and pleasantly surprised of its size for my application. Cheers

I shopped around for a bike bag and chose the Rollbag Pro. This thing is really nice. Well made and appears it will last for many years. It appears to have enough padding for airline protection. I will use it Feb 2025 for a trip out west. The other selling point was the weight. Its stated 16.5 lbs. So if your bike is around 30-32 lbs, you should be under the 50lb airline requirement. I still have yet to weigh it all. The individual padded protections to cover the bike are a really nice feature. I would have liked to see the bottom stay foam block extended along the bottom of the swing arm for even more protection and stability. The wheels roll nice for easy maneuverability. I have a 29" Large frame Santa Cruz Tallboy and everything fits just fine. I have no doubt an XL frame would fit. My wheels are 2.4 and have plenty of room in the wheel pockets. 2.6 size tires should be no problem. This bag with both tires off the bike during packing makes the overall size more compact and easier to move around. Be careful of the bags that allow for the rear wheel to stay on. The bag size may push past airline limits of 115" overall dimension.

This protection kit is a lifesaver! It keeps my bike frame and rear derailleur safe during transport. Works great for both my road and MTB bikes. Super easy to use and reliable!

The RMTBag Original is perfect for car and train trips. It’s lightweight, padded enough to protect my bike, and super easy to pack. Definitely a great choice for short trips!

The RollBag Pro provides excellent protection for my bike and is easy to maneuver around the airport. It was very practical for my trip!
